Arlington, Texas – The 2016 East Main St. Art and Music Festival, May 7, 2016, Noon-8pm, will create a three block, street scene, anchored by Division Brewing Company and Mavericks Grill (601 E. Main St., 76010). Festival goers will have to opportunity to visit 50, local and emerging artists/vendor booths, listen to over 20 local music acts, hit the bounce houses and check out the Pop Up Dog Park. #FamilyFriendly
For the foodie and the craft beer lover, the #EMAF2016 will include 12 hand crafted beers (brewed on the block) from Division Brewing Co., hand made brisket tacos from Mavericks Grill (full menu available) and fresh pastries.
The East Main St. experience will include art booths with a variety of media including, live painting, sculpting, and potting. Art lovers will find, that on any budget, the East Main St. Art Festival is the perfect opportunity to begin collecting art or add to an established gallery.
Brian Weatherford will serve as Emcee and Mayor Jeff Williams will be on hand at 3:00pm to help celebrate Arlington’s 140th Birthday.
A full-day lineup of 22 local musicians, in three locations, will be performing for festival goers, including the award winning Sam Houston Mariachi Band, 3:00pm on The Maverick Stage. Check out other locals performing in the Arlington Proud Plaza and in Division Brewing Alley, while you stroll, eat, drink, and shop on E. Main St.
While on the block, guests will be able to check out sculptures, AJs Bounce Houses, Chess Pop Up Park (provided by North Arlington, Chess Club), Outdoor Reading Room (featuring Little Free Libraries), Pop Up Dog Park, Arlington Public Library Literacy Mobile, Street Performers/Flow Artists and play some Ping Pong or Cornhole.
Arlington Animal Services will be on hand with their mobile pet adoption unit. Please help us place as many pups as possible.
